This end-of-terrace property, located in Swiss Cottage close to Belsize Park and Hampstead, is a three-storey residential dwelling that had undergone only minor alterations since its original construction. The client’s brief was to enhance and modernise the property to better support contemporary living while improving both its spatial quality and functionality.

The project included the introduction of a new rear extension at ground floor level, enabling the creation of a generous open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space. This new arrangement significantly improves the flow of the ground floor and strengthens the connection between the interior spaces and the rear garden. In addition, a new bathroom was introduced to improve the overall amenity of the property.

At second floor level, the existing bedroom layout was reconfigured to form a more spacious principal suite, complete with a walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom. This upgrade significantly enhances the comfort and usability of the upper level while optimising the existing floor area.

The property was also comprehensively refurbished throughout, with upgraded finishes and a renewed architectural language applied across all levels to create a cohesive and high-quality interior environment.
